Ankunft im wannseeFORUM
Am Samstagnachmittag ging es endlich los: Internationale künstlerische Sommerwerkstatt 2011.
Aus Spanien, Tschechien, Polen, der Russischen Föderation, Serbien, Mazedonien und Deutschland machten sich 50 Jugendliche auf ins wannseeFORUM, um sich in den künstlerischen Workshops neun Tage lang mit dem Thema „Money makes the world go round?“ auseinanderzusetzen. Dafür war Ihnen kein Weg zu weit und so hatten sich einige TeilnehmerInnen schon am Freitag mit Bus und Bahn auf den weg macht, um zum gemeinsamen Start um 18 dabei zu sein.
Tag 2 – Sonntag, 21.08.201
Gelungener Start in eine aufregende Woche
Am Sonntagmorgen ging es dann richtig los. Bei den Energizern kamen alle in Bewegung und das Eis war schnell gebrochen. Beim anschließenden persönliches Interview bot sich die Möglichkeit, sich etwas näher kennenzulernen und beispielsweise die persönlichen Geheimtipps in puncto kostenfreie Freizeitaktivitäten zu erfahren.
Die gute Stimmung wurde gleich genutz: In nur eine Stunde eine Performance zum Themen “Money makes the world go round?!” auf die Beine stellen. Da heißt es nicht lange überlegen, sondern loslegen! Und dann ab zur Präsentation.
Die Performances zeigten verschiedenste Perspektiven auf und aus den Themenkomplex “Geld”. Mal kritisch, mal dramatisch, persönlich oder mit einem Augenzwinkern: Unglaublich, was in nur einer Stunde entstehen kann!
Tag 3 – Montag, 22.08.2011
Und was magst du so? – Berlin sightseeing, mal anders
Nachdem die Arbeit in den künstlerischen Werkstätten am Vormittag richtig gestartet war, hieß es nach dem Mittagessen: Auf nach Berlin! Aber nicht nur Brandenburger Tor und Alexanderplatz! Die BerlinerInnen unter den TeilnehmerInnen und DozentInnen nahmen uns mit, auf ihre persönliche Berlintour.
“Magische Berlintour” – Die TeilnehmerInnen schreiften durch die Stockwerke des Künstlerhauses Tacheles und erhaschten Einblicke in den Prozess der dort arbeitenden Künstler, schmunzelten und erfreuen sich an den liebevoll gestalteten und bepflanzten Gemüsekisten des “Allmende Kontors”, dem Gemeinschaftsgarten auf dem ehemaligen Tempelhofer Flugplatz oder erfuhren mehr über laufende Projekte im Künstlerhaus Bethanien. Die Eigeninitiative und Kreativität der Projekte inspirierte und machte Lust, eigene Räume für Projekte zu schaffen.
Für die Shoppingtour unter den Motto “arm und reich” hieß es, die voll Bandbreite von Berlins Shoppingmöglichkeiten auszukosten. So zog eine Gruppe von TeilnehemerInnen durch die zahlreichen 1-Euro-Läden, Berlins hippe Second Hand läden und fand sich schließlich im traditionsreichen Kadewe ein, wo dann allerdings gucken statt shoppen angesagt war und man höchstens in der Feinschmecker Etage des Hauses am Luxus, im kleineren Stil, teilhaben konnte. Naja, und ein bischen Sightseeing war natürlich auch drin.
“Changes in Berlin” – Ja, Veränderungen gibt es in Berlin so einige. Und weil die Stadt dynamisch und im stetigen Wandel ist, lohnt es sich, einige tolle Projekte noch heute zu besuchen, denn wer weiß, diese beim nächsten Berlinbesuch schon ganz anders oder gar nicht mehr da sind. So startete die Tour im “Statt-Bad” in Wedding, einem ehemaligen Hallenbad. Ein offener Raum für zeitgenössiche Kultur und Kunst, wo Leute des Stadtteils Wedding genauso willkommen sind, wie KünstlerInnen und Gäste aus der ganzen Welt. Ein Spaziergang durch den Wedding führte auch diese Tour zum Tacheles, ein der Symbole der Berliner Stadteentwicklungsdebatten. Von der Warschauer Straße ging es dann vorbei an der Eastside Gallery nach Kreuzberg, um kleine und große Streetart aufzusuchen. Für die Tanzworkshopgruppe stand noch ein Highlight auf dem Programm. Die Gruppe machte sich auf zum Tanzfestival “Tanz im August” um professionelle Tänzer in Aktion zu sehen und sich Inspiration für die eigene Performance zu holen.
Ab 18 Uhr trafen sich dann alle im Görlitzer Park. Jamsession hier, tobende Kinder da, die heitere und lebhafte Atmosphäre gefiel und bot die perfekte Atmosphäre, um von den Entdeckungen und Erlebnissen des Tages zu berichten und den erlebnisreichen tag ausklingen zu lassen.
Tag 4 – Dienstag, 23.08.2011
Nachdem alle mit Spannung darauf gewartet hatten, die ersten Szenen des gestrigen Aufnahmetages auf dem Bildschirm anzuschauen, ging es nun an den langwierigen und mühsamen Prozess der Bearbeitung und Schneidens des Filmmaterials.
“Money makes the world go round?!” Das Thema bringt den Tanzworkshop in Bewegung
Im Musikworkshop bot sich die Möglichkeit, sich an verschiedensten Instrumenten auszuprobieren. War das favourisierte Instrument gefunden, ging es los und es wurde improvisiert und komponiert, was das Zeug hält. Die TeilnehmerInnen waren so engagiert und konzentriert beim Arbeiten, dass, während alle anderen schon beim Mittag oder Abendessen saßen, der Musikworkshop noch im vollen Gang war. Die Gelegenheit um den Kompositionen schon einfach mal zu lauschen und einen Vorgeschmack auf die vollständige Performance zu bekommen..
Tag 5 – Mittwoch, 24.08.2011
Fotos machen mit analoger Kamera, in Zeitalter des Automatikfunktion – eine Herausforderung. Aller Schritte selbst durchlaufen: von der Einstellung der Kamera, über Filmentwicklung und Bildentwicklung. Ein langer und spannender weg.
Im Art-Performance-Workshop ist alles möglich. Hier kann Foto mir Malerei, Video mit direct-action kombiniert werden und die Erde in neuer Form erstrahlen.
Tag 6 - Donnerstag, 25.08.2011
Der donnerlose Donnerstag von Anne Reibke
Ein serbisches Lachen. Ein spanisches Augenzwinkern. Eine in die Höhe gezogene tschechische Augenbraue. In der hauseigenen Bar in der untersten Landhaus-Etage des Wannseeforums werden unsere Köpfe um Mitternacht nach den Eindrücken des Tages noch mit kleinen Details gefüllt, bis sie sich nach und nach ins Bett begeben. Die Abende bei der internationalen Sommerwerkstatt sind wie die Kirschen auf dem Kirschkuchen – sie dürfen nicht fehlen. Begleitet werden wir unseren Gesprächen, Tischtennisduellen und Tänzen heute von einem leisen, konstanten Tropfgeräusch, verursacht von einer temporären Kunstinstallation, die Dozent Rolf heute für die Bar angefertigt hat: Eingefrorene Geldmünzen hängen in einem langsam schmilzenden Eisklotz wie selbstverständlich von der Zimmerdecke.
Die Bilder, die der vierte künstlerische Arbeitstag in den Erinnerungen der Teilnehmer hinterlassen hat, sind so unterschiedlich wie die Workshops selbst. Während die Videogruppe fleißig filmt, schneidet und animiert, gehen die Tänzer es ein bisschen ruhiger an und holen sich noch etwas Inspiration bei einer abendlichen Tanzaufführung im Zentrum von Berlin. Die Fotografen schlossen Freundschaft mit der Farbe schwarz: Sie standen in der Dunkelkammer sodass es für sie ausnahmsweise nicht entscheidend war, ob sie mit offenen oder geschlossenen Augen arbeiteten. Wem es da unheimlich wird, der singt französische Lieder, während er darauf wartet, dass seine Bilder Gestalt annehmen. Gesungen wird übrigens auch bei den Schauspielern. In ihrem Stück soll unter anderem Bertold Brecht musikalisch geehrt werden. Die Teilnehmer in der Musikgruppe, die im Kaminzimmer probt, sind selbst von den Rhythmen, Klängen und Melodien beeindruckt, die sie mit wenig Vorwissen und viel Gruppendynamik entstehen lassen. Die Art Performance – Werkstatt widerum verspricht, ihrer Vielseitigkeit gerecht zu werden und „von allem etwas“ dabei zu haben.
So erwartet man gespannt die Ergebnisse der anderen, bricht Rekorde im Verbrauch von Anti-Mücken-Spray und lernt, was „Ich bin sehr müde“ auf spanisch heißt.
Tag 7 – Freitag, 26.08.2011
Ein Tag im wannseeFORUM – von Sara V.
Ich sitze in der Sonne, es ist sehr heiß und ich bin hungrig. Ich bin genervt von einer überraschenderweise ziemlich ziemlich robusten Mücke, die versucht über die Runden zu kommen, indem sie in meine Hand beißt. Das ist die Hand, die ich benutze um die analoge Kamera vom Workshop zu halten – ich bin also sehr vorsichtig. Die Blende und Belichtung ist schon eingestellt und ich habe keine Lust, die den Winkel und die Schärfe des Phots zu versauen, das ich gerade versuche zu machen.

Das ist das letzte Photo für den Morgen. Ich sammle alles zusammen und sause im Eiltempto zum Mittagessen. Ich versuche die dabei die Hindernisse im Gras zu vermeiden – in Form von Steinen und Menschen. Schnell lege ich etwas von den ganzen leckeren Sachen auf meinen Tellern und eile zu den Tischen auf der Terrasse.
Die entspannte Atmosphäre und das viele Lachen sind alltäglich hier im WannseeFORUM, und das ist, was ich am meisten mag Meine Batterien sind wieder voll und ich bin bereit und kann es kaum erwarten mehr Photos zu machen!
- Interview mit meiner Freundin Asia aus Polen -
Ich: Hallo, Asia.
Asia: Hallo, Sara.
Ich: Wo wohnst du und was gibt es alles so zu sehen in deiner Heimatstadt?
Asia: Ich lebe in Pulawy, da gibt es den Sibila Tempel, welcher vergleichbar ist mit einer alten Kirche Und 50 Kilometer von meiner Stadt ist eine weitere kleine Stadt, wo es sehr schön ist und man gut rumhängen kann – viele Parties, Filmfestivals, viele junge Leute.
Ich: Was kannst du so über den Workshop erzählen?
Asia: Ich bin in Art Performance. Tschechische Jungs haben mich mit dem Material und Linialen die ganze Zeit geschlagen, aber andere sind dann wieder sehr kreativ und inspirierend! …. kleiner Scherz natürlich. Am Anfang weißt du nicht wirklich, was Art Performance eigentlich ist. Aber nach einiger Zeit findest du heraus, dass es alles ist! Du kannst machen, was du willst. Es ist Theater, Bilder, Video, Tanz. Als erstes hast du die Idee und dann findest du heraus, dass es alles verbunden ist. Und was wichtig ist, dass dieses Jahr alle zusammen arbeiten. Wir sind ein großartiges Team! Jeder arbeitet mit jedem und das ist wirklich lustig.
Ich: Was findest du am interessantesten am Wannseeforum?
Asia: Karaoke – alle waren am schreien und brüllen – es war sehr interessant.
Ich: Hast du jemand neues im Forum kennengelernt?
Asia: Ja, ich habe Tara, eine imaginierte Freundin von Sara aus Serbien kennengelernt – das bist du! Sie isst nicht viel, daher ist sie sehr dünn. Manchmal kann man sie gar nicht richtig sehen.
Ich: Hahhahahahaha, ok. Vielen Dank für das Interview. Ich hoffe, du hast noch weiterhin noch eine schöne Zeit. Und viel Glück bei deiner Arbeit!

Tag 8 – Samstag, 27.08.2011
Der Tag der Präsentation
Der Tag der Präsentation begann für die Teilnehmenden der Photowerkstatt sehr unterschiedlich. Während die, die bis 5 Uhr morgens in der Dunkelkammer gestanden hatten, sich nun schnell in ihre Zimmer zurückzogen, um wenigstens noch ein paar Stündchen Schlaf zu bekommen, krochen andere schon wieder aus ihren Betten, um dann gleich wieder in der Dunkelkammer zu verschwinden, um die letzte Chance zu nutzen, ihre Bilder zu entwickeln. Zwar gönnten sich die meisten der anderen WorkshopsteilnehmerInnen ein wenig mehr Schlaf und begannen den Tag mit einem guten Frühstück, die Nachfrage nach einer zweiten Tasse Kaffee schien heute aber allgemein sehr groß zu sein. Wahrscheinlich war es dann aber doch nicht der viele Kaffee, der dazu führte, dass die WorkshopteilnehmerInnen in den kommenden Stunden durch das wannseeFORUM wirbelten, um die letzten Vorbereitungen für die große Präsentation zu treffen, sondern ein Mix zwischen Aufregung und Vorfreude.
Um 15 fanden sich dann alle im Foyer des Landhauses ein. Und die Eröffnung der Workshoppräsentation konnte beginnen.
Macht oder Liebe? Diesen und anderen Fragen widmete sich die Theatergruppe in ihrer Version des Rheingolds. Auch die deutschen Brechtsongs, an denen seit Tagen noch hier und da gefeilt wurde, sitzen. Dafür erntet der Theaterworkshop den ersten tosenden Applaus des Abends.

Als letzte Gruppe lud die Art-Performance Gruppe ein, die entwickelten “cash-machine” auszuprobieren, die Ausstellung mit Gemälden, Sklulpturen und Installationen zu besuchen oder im hauseigenen Schattentheater Platz zu nehmen. Den krönenden Abschluss machte dann eine Performance im Atrium.
Glücklich und Geschafft! Was für eine Präsentation!
Nach dem das Buffet eröffnet und die Performances bei Speis und Trank gefeiert wurden, zogen sich alle noch einmal zurück, um sich schick zu machen. Einige durchstöberten den Theaterfundus und kamen in neuer Erscheinung zum Beginn der Abschlussparty im Kaminsaal. Und dann wurde getanzt…

Good start in an exciting week
On Saturday morning it could get started. With the so called “energizer-games” everybody came into action and the ice was broken . The following personal interview gave the opportunity to get to know each other a little better and to receive the personal tips in matters of freetime activities which doesn’t cost anything.
The good atmosphere was used directly: Creating in not more than one hour a performance to the topic “Money makes the world go round?!”That means starting accept of talking too much. And then, back to the theatreroom for the presentation.
The performances showed different perspectives on and out of the topicfield of „money“. One critical, another dramatic and personal or with a winking eye. Wonderful, what can be produced in just one hour!
Day 3 – Monday, 22/08/2011
Excursions to Berlin – Another side of Berlins sights
After starting the workshops in the afternoon , the scedule after lunch said: Berlin, here we come. But not just the Brandenburger Tor and Alexanderplatz! The people living in Berlin took us with them, on their personal berlintour.
“Magic Berlin-tour“The participants were roaming through the floors oft he arthouse Tacheles, catching some insights into the workingprocess of some working artists and enjoyed and discovered the lovely arranged vegtableboxes on the “Allmende Kontors”, a communitygarden on the former airportz Tempelhof or got to know the current project in the the open arthouse Bethanien in Kreuzberg. This great initiative of one’s own was inspiring and made us thinking of creating our own spaces and projects.
The so called „shopping-tour“ under the topic „rich and poor“ included the hole range of Berlins shoppingculture. So the group moved to some on the 1-euro-shops , rummaged on Berlin’s hip second-hand shops and ended the tour in Kadewe, a rich in tradition shoppingcenter. And some sightseeing was of course included! (see photo)
“Changes in Berlin” – yes, changing is berlin all the time. And because it goes so fast, you do well in visiting some places and projects this time – cause you never know if they will last until your next visit. So the tour by Ann started in the “Statt-Bad” (engl. instead of – swimming pool) in Wedding. The former swimming pool is now a open space for contemporary art and culture and welcomes all habitants of the district and well as artists and guests from all over the world. A walk back in the center lead also this group to the arthouse Tacheles, one of the symbols for citydevelopmentdebates. From the Warschauer Straße, passing the Eastside Gallery – a part oft he Berlin wall painted by international artists – to Kreuzberg where on could discover lot’s of small and big streetart. For the dancingworkshopgroup a highlight was waiting: The international dance festival “Tanz im August”. The chosen performance was the perfect opportunity to see young professional dancers in action. For some still a little too abstract, most seems to had enjoyed the atmosphere and good new ideas for their own coming performance.
Beginning from 6 p.m., everybody was little by little arriving at Görlitzer Park. Jamsession here, playing children there. The happy and lively international atmospere was perfect for talking about the discovers and experiences and to finish the day…
Day 5 – Tuesday, 23/08/2011
After everybody was excited to see the recordings oft the last day, the maybe a little more boring and exhusting part was on the scedule: the editing.
“Money makes the world go round?!” After some ideas were collected, the topic was translated into moves and scenes.
The musicworkshop gave the opportunity to try out different instruments. Was the right one found, the improvising and composing could get started. The workshops was so concentrated on their work this day, that they totally forgot about lunch. The possibility for the others to get a taste of the coming performance, while enjoyed the good food on the terrace in the sun.
Day 5 – Wednesday, 24/08/2011
Taking pictures with an analog camera. In times of automaticfunctions a challenge. But the participants of the photoworkshop couldn’t wait to accept it and fight themselves though all the steps with ambition and happiness. In the art-performance-workshop everything is possible. Here can painting be combined with foto, video with direct action or the earth glow in a new shape.
Day 6 – 24/08/2011
One day in Wannsee – by Sara Velimirovic
I’m sitting in the sun, its really hot and I’m hungry. I’m annoyed by one suprisingly reselient mosquito who’s trying to make a living out of biting my right hand. Thats the hand I’m using to hold the analog camera from my workshop, so I have to be very careful. The exposition and lighting are already set up and I dont want to mess-up the angle and the sharpness of the photograph I’m trying to make.

That’s the last photo for the morning. Im picking up everything and moving to lunch at the speed of light. I try to avoid the obstacles in the grass – in forms of stones and people. I rapidly put random delicious things in my plate and hurry to the tables outside. The relaxed atmosphere and laughter are everyday life here in Wannsee and that’s what I like the most. My batteries are full again and I’m ready and excited to take more photos!

Me: Hello, Asia.
Asia: Hello, Sara.
Me: Where do you live and what is there to see in your home town?
Asia: I live in Pulawy, there we have The Sibila temple, which is similar to an old church. And 50km from my town there is another small town where it’s really nice to hang out – lots of parties, movie festivals, lot of young people.
Me: What would you say about your workshop?
Asia: I’m in art performance. Chech guys were beating me with the materials and rulers all the time but other than that it’s creative and inspiring! …little joke off course. In the beginng you don’t really know what acctually is art performance. But after some time, you find out that it’s everything! You can do whatever you want, its theater, pictures, video, dance. You first have the idea and you figure out over time that it’s all connected. And what is important, this year everybody is working together, we are a great team! Everybody is working with everyone and it’s really funny.
Me: What did you find most interesting in Wannsee?
Asia: Karaoke – everybody was screaming and shouting – it was really funny interesting.
Me: Did you meet someone new in the forum?
Asia: Yes, i met Tara, she is an imaginary friend of Sara’s, from Serbia – that’s you! She’s not eating a lot and that’s why she’s very thin, so sometimes we can’t really see her.
Me: Hahhahahahaha, okay. Thank you for the interview, hope you have more beautiful time and good luck with your work!

Day 7 – 25/08/2011
The thunderless thursday – by Anne Reibke
A Serbian smile. A Spanish winking. A Czech pulled up eyebrow. In our houseown bar in the lower floor of the landhouse of wannseeforum our head are still filled up at midnight, after the impressions of the day, with details, until they go to bed bit by bit. The evening in the international summeworkshop are like the cherries on the cherrycake – they mustn’t be missing. Our talks , tabletennisduels and dances are accompanied of a silent, constant droppingsound, caused be a artinstallation which the artist and workshopleader Rolff prepared for the bar tonight: Frozen coins are hanging in a slowly melting bloc of ice like natural on the ceiling.
The pictures the forth day of artistic work left are as diverse as the workshops itself. While the videogroup is keeningly filming, cutting and animating, the dancers are starting a little slower and let themselves inspire by the a evening danceperformance in the centre of Berlin. The photographes got friends with the colour black: They were standing in the darkroom, so that it was not important if they were working with open or closed eyes. For whom it went scary started singing french songs, during he, she was waiting their picture to appear. Singen are also the actors. In their play they Berthold Brecht should musically be honoured, among other plans. The participants from the musicgroup, who are practising in the chimneyroom, are impressed themselves by the rhythums, sounds and melodies, they create, with little preknowledge, but lots of groupdynamics. The art-performance-workshop seems to fullfill its name and will have a mixture of everything.
So on is excited for the results of the others, is breaking records in using anti-moscito-sprays and learns how to say „ I am really tired“ in Spanisch.
Day 8 – Saturday, 27/08/2011
The day of the presentation
The day of the presentation started for the participants of the photoworkshop differently. While the ones, who were standing in the darcroom until 5 o’clock in morning, hurried now to bed, to get still some hours of sleep, some others were crawling out of their bed, in order to disappear directly in the darcroom for taking the last chance for developing pictures. The majority of the other workshops allowed oneself’s a little bit more sleep and started the morning with a ralexed breakfast, the asking for a second cup of coffe seemed tob e high in general. But at the end it wasn’t the extra portion of coffee which made the workshopparticipants rushing around to get the last things done, but a mixture of excitement and anticipation. At 3 p.m. everybody arrived in the entrance hall for the opening.
Power or love? These and other questions were discussed by the theatregroup in their version of the „Rheingold“. Also the songs by Berthold Brecht, they had been practicing for the last days, convinced. For this great performance they earned the first thunderous applause.
The danceperformance brings coins from all over europe to cling in their stepdance scene. At the end it went political when they related to current protests and movements by youth, criticising the political situation and the economysystem and did demand: real democracy now!
After the buffet was opened, the performances were celebrated. After the dinner most went back in their room to dress up a little bit for the party. Some disappeared for some time in the theatre‘s props room an appeared in new appearance for the beginning of the farewell-party.
